Chocolate Star Bread | Recipe By My Name Is Snickerdoodle (2024)

Chocolate Star Bread is one of the best holiday treats! Layers of tender Rhode’s White Bread with ribbons of chocolate spread. It’s sliced and twisted into a festive star shape then brushed with an egg wash and baked to perfection. The finishing touch is a sprinkling of snow like powdered sugar!

Christmas sweets are so fun to make this time of year. If you looking for some fun recipes I know you will love my Christmas Magic Cookie Bars. My oldest son is a huge fan of peppermint so I love to make these Peppermint Bark Cookies. Speaking of favorites, my husband loves eggnog so I was fun to put a twist on it with my Holiday Eggnog Pie.

With all of the recipes I researched they called for a homemade enriched dough. I have experience making bread, but I know not everyone does. It can be intimidating and seem overwhelming.

This is why I thought it would be a fabulous idea to use my favorite frozen dough from Rhodes! I always have it on hand in my freezer and it works perfectly in this recipe.

No, it’s Nutella or I know Hershey’s has a chocolate spread. They are usually in the same grocery isle as the peanut butter.
