This adorable granny square flower pillow is the sweetest pillow for spring. Available as a free crochet pattern, this cute crochet pillow is easy to crochet and totally customizable.
Lately, I’ve been really obsessed with anything with quilt/patchwork patterns (like seriously, obsessed). As I was brainstorming, different ways to integrate this style into my designs, I came up with this checkered flower design, and I think it turned out so sweet!
I had no idea what to name this pillow and when I asked for name suggestions on Instagram, one follower said this pillow reminded her of Anne of Green Gables and that it should have a name like the Avonlea pillow. Reading this comment made me so happy as Anne Green Gables is one of my favorite stories. It was obviously a no brainer that this sweet granny square pillow needed to have an Anne of Green Gables themed name🥰
I used Lion Brand Basic Stitch (Anti Pill) for this design, this yarn is a great affordable option that’s easily accessible. This line also has a very versatile color selection, which is perfect for choosing the right palette for your style!

measurements
Measurements are approximate
Each square should measure approximately 3 inches
These squares are designed to fit a 16 inch pillow form. Once the squares are sewn together, they should measure less than 16 inches. You want to be able to stretch the panel over the pillow form, as this will prevent unnecessary fabric.
gauge
Each square should measure approximately 3 inches across
