Linked in is the new Instagram! While both platforms serve different purposes, I've noticed a trend of people posting irrelevant pictures with their content on LinkedIn, which I find a bit concerning. On Instagram, it's common to see people post pictures of themselves, their meals, pets, or scenery, accompanied by a short caption or hashtag. However, on LinkedIn, that simply doesn't make any sense. Posting your mirror selfie and writing a content about how current economic ecosphere has affected job cuts will not make any sense. There are still plethora of people posting their achievements, their road to success or even failure which can help us carve our professional journey. Amidst all this if you find someone posting their lunch picture with a unrelated content, it actually distract people from getting the right communication. Or it can be one of those days where we simply want unwanted attention to our post through such irrelevant pictures, may be?Point is when we post on LinkedIn, we want to provide value and insights to our professional network. We want to share our expertise, promote our brand or business, and engage with other professionals in meaningful discussions. Including irrelevant pictures with our content can dilute the impact of our message and distract our audience from the key takeaways we're trying to convey. We should aim to provide value to our network and stay focused on our professional goals. In a nutshell, Let's save the selfies for Instagram. They too have a business to run.#people #share #brand #content #instagram #linkedin #network

I've always had a soft spot for Instagram; the creativity, the visuals, and the spontaneity have made it an entertaining platform for me. 🎨 But let's be real – sometimes, it can feel TOO MUCH.On the flip side, LinkedIn has, at times, felt a tad too professional and... well, formal (read "boring"). 📄Yet, things seem to be changing.A recent newsletter from Predis.ai caught my attention. 🌟 "Sorry, But LinkedIn Is Cool Now 😎"So maybe it's time for us to embrace the changing tide and see LinkedIn in a new light. After all, as the stats show, LinkedIn is cool now. What are your thoughts? Have you noticed a shift in your LinkedIn experience lately?#linkedin #socialmedia #digitaltransformation #professionalnetworking #authenticconnections

Why I jumped from Instagram to LinkedIn? I was a happy little Instagram user. I loved sharing my life with my followers, and I enjoyed seeing what they were up to as well. But one day, I realized that Instagram wasn't the right platform for me anymore. Here's why:* Too much fluff, not enough substance. Instagram is a great place to share cute photos and videos, but it's not the best place to have meaningful conversations or learn new things.* Too much comparison, not enough self-love. Instagram is full of people who are constantly trying to outdo each other. It's easy to start comparing yourself to others and feeling bad about yourself.* Too much distraction, not enough focus. Instagram is designed to be addictive. It's easy to get lost in the endless stream of posts and stories.I decided that I wanted to be on a platform where I could connect with like minded people who were passionate about the same things as me, and where I could learn and grow. So, I jumped from Instagram to LinkedIn.Here are some of the things I love about LinkedIn:* It's a place to learn and grow.* It's a place to connect with like-minded people* It's a place to build your career.I'm so glad that I jumped from Instagram to LinkedIn. It's the right platform for me because it allows me to connect with people, learn new things, and build my career as a freelancer. How about you? which platform fits your business? We’re not a regular platform, we’re a cool platform. At least Bloomberg thinks so.I’ve been saying this for awhile now, LinkedIn is not the same buttoned-up site it was a few years ago. More and more people are on here sharing stories outside of their job, giving their followers and companies a glimpse beyond their desk. Why? I mean, where else do you go to build community?Facebook? Nah. X? What a mess.Instagram is still heavy on the selfies and TikTok has turned into a larger search engine than Google.LinkedIn gives the space to converse, learn, support and advocate. It allows people to see who you are outside of your title. Companies should allow their employees to have a personal voice on here, rather than just pushing their corporate narrative. It is a social platform after all.LinkedIn isn’t going anywhere, it’s growing in revenue and more and more people are tapping into this new world. So invest in your personal brand. Show off your projects. Flaunt your accomplishments. Seek advice and support.Update your profile to reflect your work and your personality. Connect with people that you’re interested to learn from. Post about what’s important to you. You do you. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/ewTgTKEf#linkediniiscool #community

I used Instagram for a year, because I had a goal, and then I quit. I have told this story many times, and it's true. Or at least, based on true events. The part I always tell is that I had issues with self-image, and I challenged myself to take pictures of myself every day for a year. But there are some other lessons I learnt:• After that year, it took me another year to close that account. I stopped using it daily, but I kept using it occasionally. Somehow I was looking for a reason to keep it.• Posting pictures of oneself has a normalising effect, meaning I was looking at how others took pictures of themselves, imitating them, and comparing myself to them.I had some agenda, but Instagram have a different one, and they got intertwined to some extent. I trained to be comfortable taking pictures of myself, but by doing it publicly I accidentally trained myself on how I should look like.My conclusion is that social media is the opposite of self-reflection. We look at others, and more importantly, we look at ourselves in the eyes of others. Here on LinkedIn, I am influenced about how should I think about my career or how it should look like. So I try to keep working on why I feel the way I do about my job and my professional choices and goals.Even if social media designs self-fulfilling prophecies on what success should look like, and rewards us for keeping up with them, we are still able to set our priorities and take responsibility for our actions. And most important, like and subscribe, and leave a comment down below.#storytime #socialmedia #selfimage #goals #selfreflection

LinkedIn is waving a friendly hand.We have heard this statement 'LinkedIn has lost its old vibes.'Now what is this 'OLD VIBE'?As we have seen people complaining about the current functioning of LinkedIn, it seems till a couple of years back it was totally and only a work-related platform with recruiters and job seekers having posts with no colorful graphics and just meaningful content. So, the definition which is portrayed, if it is true, I respect the vision of the old wise users and understand that they'll need time to adapt. But, LinkedIn is there still with both the vibes; new and old. (You're free to choose your version every time, every day.)So, I have been on LinkedIn for two years, but active for a year. And, since I got active I have been more familiar with the new changes.- LinkedIn has more colorful content.- Amazing carousels which require innovation, time, and patience.- Posts with photos (Reasons are well known now.)- Creators are out with video content (Requires courage.)- Friendly meetups and supportive communities- The definition of 'Personal branding' is circulated widely.- More young creators. (In fact, school kids invest their leisure time.) - Introduction of LinkedIn Creator Accelerator Program.- 'LinkedIn posts' that talk about growth on 'Instagram'.- 'Funny' reaction is introduced.- Memes and sarcasm posts are so well appreciated. Maybe, more.Isn't that amazing to honestly host so many different kinds of topics each day from new experimenting to expert minds?Isn't that 'ALL IN ONE' kind of a thing with a tint of fun elements with no harm? But this is for sure, besides the change:'LinkedIn has NOT become Instagram' because everyone is here to add some value from their experience and we should respect that. (Criticism is easy. Why take an easy call? :p)And, more importantly, every user is free to choose how they want to deliver their thoughts and whose posts they want to consume without holding any hate. 🕊️. A little fun and lighter note conversations aren't bad at all.❤️Thank you, Gaurisha Pandey.(23.05.2023)#practisingtopendowntoo

Ever felt like you've hit rock bottom? Like you've been buried and forgotten by the world? I've been there. But here's a perspective shift that changed everything for me. When you feel buried, remember: you've actually been planted. 🌱Eight years ago, I started my Instagram journey. There were days when I felt buried under the weight of slow growth, algorithm changes, and content creation challenges.I felt forgotten, lost in a sea of millions of Instagram profiles. But then I realized - I wasn't buried.I was planted. Each challenge was a seed. Each setback was a chance to grow stronger, to dig my roots deeper. And grow, I did. Today, I'm proud to say that I've grown many IG profiles to communities more than 50k!So, if you're feeling buried, remember: You're just planted. And with patience, consistency, and care, you will grow. 🌱___#motivationalquotes #socialmedia #instagram #linkedin #marketing
